If you are in anyway familiiar with the state of journalism in Thailand it will come as no surprise that I have created an award for thainess in journalism which I call the Pullet Surprise a far distant cousin to the Pulitzer Prize awarded to real journalists. Today the paper ran this story “Booze, obesity cause most early deaths among Thais”. Now we know this cannot be true as nearly 100% of  the Thai population is Buddhist and these are actions that are not prevalent in a country where nearly 100% of the population is practicing Buddhism. Both of Thailand’s Nearly English Language Dailies can’t be right or is it yes we have no tablets, or maybe. On the 16th the Bangkok Post ran Tablet distribution delayed The Education Ministry has postponed the distribution of 45,000 tablets to Prathom 1 students due to a delay in procurement, a source from the tablet management committee said

Isaan Flooding 16.11.11

Well here it is Lottery Day again across Thailand. The saying in Thailand should be, “You have about as much chance of winning the Lottery as getting an honest answer from anyone in uniform in Thailand.” And almost everyone in Thailand wears a uniform. I first noticed the rising waters in Isaan back in mid August and the level of the Lam Pao back in September.
