tree. The Golden Shower Tree (ratchaphruek)(Cassia fistula). The Thai name of the golden shower means “providing support and preventing decline”, it is the provincial flower while the provincial tree is the pink shower tree (chaiyapruek)(Cassia bakeriana), the Thai translates to “wishing tree”.
