Water Rocket Competition, Rajabhat University, Sakon Nakhon, Thailand

I do not know how many schools from around the region participated in the contest but there were about 8 schools represented in the finals. The kids were quite enthusiastic and well mannered

A Video Compilation, On the Road from Bangkok to Khon Kaen, Thailand

I traveled from Bangkok to Khon Kaen on the 21st of November onboard a Nakhon Chai Air 32 seat tour bus. They travel between a number of destinations in Thailand and are clean, well maintained and an efficient economic means of transportation.

10 Hours on the Road, Sakon Nakhon to Bangkok Thailand

 The express bus from Sakon Nakhon to Bangkok takes 10 hours and my originanal plan was, after a 4 hour trip to spend the night in Khon Kaen, depart at 0630 the next morning and arrive In Bangkok in time to Commart Comtech.

Kathin and Precepts at a Forest Monastery. Wat Oa Than Na Nai, Sakom Nakhon Thailand

Back a couple weeks ago I was at Wat Phra That Choeng Chum for the end of the Rains Retreat, Auk Pansaa where the head monk of the Province, the Jao Kana Jangwat attempted to lead the congregation in reciting the 8 Preceps. The Kathin season  is one of my favorite times of year in Isaan. First of all, with luck, the weather will start to cool and in another month or so the Haads and Kaengs, beaches and rapids, will start to appear as the water level drops in the Mekhong River
