gardenI agree with the reviews, and the one in particular who mentions finding the entrance. It does appear thatĀ The historic Gardener’s Cottage is only open part of the year. No question this is a tranqui; retreat on the edge of the city and appears to be frequented frequently by the locals. I found it a pleasent escape on a weekday morning, but once again on this roadtrip thunder and flashes of lightening were not far away. The brochure, once again, is quite useful forĀ Alfred B.Maclay Gardens State Park, offering plenty of information.

manateeEllie Schiller Homosassa Springs Wildlife State Park,Homosassa, Florida had it all. It was a bit of an odd place to find and the drive into the carpark a bit convolued.
Some of the activities are scheduled so be sure to check the online brochure.
Most of the paths are well marked and easy to follow. I am not about to start judging the whole zoo concept and am just here to tell you about the place.
I found it quite interesting although the 13 dollar entry fee might put some folks off…
