Although khmer ruins came be found throughout Isaan there is a string of them stretching through southern Isaan. The provinces of Nakhon Ratchasima, Buriram, Surin, Sisaketand Ubon. Pimai, Phanom Rung and Meung Tam are probably the best known but others dot the region
