I have in the past week updated the Pong River, Chii River and Ubol Ratana Reservoir flood status and have begun to try to link basins and areas into summary posts.
As water levels fall getting around the region is not as difficult and people are able to return to their homes. But please remember it will be a month or more for some people to return to homes that were under 3 meters of water.
Infection, hunger, lack of government assistance, loss of property and crops are real facts due to the floods here.I will get up to the Lam Pao area in Kalasin next week, hopefully and will follow up on villages and land in the Pong, Lam Pao and Chii basins.
I will be in Khon Kaen Saturday and Sunday to finish catching up on some odds and sods and attending a Kathin Celebration.
Isaan Live Episode 21 I’ll talk more about what’s going on and coming up in Isaan
And I look forward to your comments and emails
thanks
Tom
