If you are from Laos and you are hit by a Porsche and are the victim of a hit and run accident, you are worth $17,000. Last Friday there was a terrible accident in Pathum Thani – a 19-year old boy was driving his daddy’s Porsche and struck a 17-year old girl from Laos and cut her in half with her upper torso crashing through the windshield and landing in the passenger seat. Porsche Accident His father, the owner of the Porsche, stalled the police for a day or so saying that his son needed to attend a festival to honor the family’s ancestors.  The teenager eventually showed up at the police station along with his crew in matching outfits and sunglasses.  He is also wearing a hat with the slogan “In you, not on you”.  Hopefully he doesn’t understand English well.

This shows what life is worth in Thailand. If you are rich, you can buy anything!…Even a LIFE! This kid should be in jail waiting charges of involuntary manslaughter! He was exceeding the speed limit and didn’t stop, didn’t report to the police immediately (possibly to hide drug or alcohol)
This article turned my stomach. It is disgusting to think that someone can buy off a tragic accident of a life with 350,000 baht. That is NOTHING to a rich family! Another very clear case of Thai double standards between the haves and have nots in Thailand!
