Ajahn Sumedho weaves this talk on gratitude around the earlier years of his life. The talk was given at the Ajahn Chah Remembrance Day on 16 January 2010 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

And so the¯ÂraÔgama SÂtra points directly at the Mind which when stirred by the first thought creates the basic illusion of an ego and splits the Whole into subject and object. In consequence it is still a primary source for the Chían or Zen school…
