Let the Games Begin, not that they ever stopped in Thailand

And in a way it is the National Sport; it is the finger pointing, the blame game and the ball in question is flood prevention and mitigation. I have asked since last years flood how can they assess anyhting without accurate raw data.

As I mentioned in Part 1, the Buddha laid down the rule that monks and nuns may not cook or store their own food. The intention was for monastics to be free from the worldly burden of cooking and to make them dependent on the generosity of lay followers.

Wat Tham Champa Kantasilawat, Mukdahan, Thailand is one of those places rarely encountered in following the history of Forest Buddhism in Northeast Thailand. Here is a cave complex where Ajahn Sao, Ajahn Mun, Luangta maha boowa, who at the time was just plain old maha boowa bhikku meditated.

Saphan Khom, Sakon Nakhon, Thailand,a Khmer Bridge

Saphan Khom jus a couple hundred meters in front of the City Gate of  Sakon Nakhon, in the Island formed by Nittayo Road Number 22, from the west into town. the Tourism Authority of Thailand says “It is considered as an ancient bridge to link Sakon Nakhon and the countryside as this area was once a swamp. when the racket first started I thought it was practice for the birthday celebration of HRH The Crown Prince Maha Vajiralongkorn, born 28 July 1952. They have been anouncing over the PA system that there will be a big ceremony tomorrow the day before his birthday at the temple
